Since opening in New York’s East Village in 1954, Veselka has become an institution serving up traditional Ukrainian food like pierogi, borscht, and goulash. Founded by Ukrainian refugees Wolodymyr and Olha Darmochwal, Veselka, which means “rainbow,” started out as a newsstand selling soups and sandwiches. Now, the family-owned and operated Veselka is one of New York’s best 24-hour diners, serving old world comfort food.

- Each potato pancake weighs approx. 4 oz.
- Fried Onions – 4 oz.

- Ships frozen with ice packs, may thaw in transit.
- Upon arrival, store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
To Serve

- Pour in a pot and reheat on the stove. Do not microwave in the container provided.

Pierogi
- Allow pierogi to defrost completely and cook in salted boiling water for 3-4 minutes.
- Optional: After boiling, pan-fry pierogis in butter until golden brown.
- Serve & enjoy!
Potato Pancake
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Place frozen pancakes on an ungreased sheet pan.
- Place in oven and bake for approx. 20-25 minutes, flipping the potato pancakes after the first 10 minutes.
