Ousler Sandwiches

Alabama's Beloved Finger Sandwiches Since 1915
Founded in 1915 in Birmingham's Five Points South, Ousler Sandwiches has been a staple of Southern celebrations for over a century - and the fourth generation of the Elmore family intends to keep it that way. Christine Elmore, who started as a teenage employee and eventually bought the business in 1953, left behind original recipes for creamy chicken salad, classic Southern pimiento cheese, and egg salad that have never changed. The business has passed down to Ms. Elmore's son Bill and now to her grand daughter, LeAnn Wood.
Everything at Ousler's is still done by hand - the books, the sandwiches, all of it - crustless, finger-sized, and tasting exactly as they did 100 years ago. A fixture at Alabama garden club luncheons and family celebrations for generations, Ousler Sandwiches are shipped nationwide on Goldbelly, straight from Mountain Brook to wherever the South is being celebrated.
