Located inside Philly’s famed Reading Terminal Market since 1983, family owned-and-operated The Original Turkey was founded by Roger Bassett, who can still be found at the market, roasting over 40 turkeys every day and carving them by hand. These are some of the most pampered turkeys on earth. High-quality turkey breasts are brined and coated in a signature herb rub before being “steam roasted” to tender, juicy perfection. And don’t even get us started on the ham!

- Turkey leg ships frozen with ice packs, may thaw during transit.
- Upon arrival, place legs in the refrigerator or freezer.
- Turkey legs last up to 1 week in the refrigerator or up to 4 months in the freezer.
To Serve
Smoked Turkey Leg (Oven)
- If frozen, thaw in the refrigerator for 24-48 hours.
- Preheat oven to 300° F.
- Remove legs from the provided bag and place on an oven-safe pan.
- Cook for about 60 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 150° F.
- Serve and enjoy!
Smoked Turkey Leg (Grill)
- If frozen, thaw in the refrigerator for 24-48 hours.
- Wrap turkey leg fully in foil.
- Grill on medium heat for 6 minutes on each side or until internal temperature reaches 150° F. If not keep on the grill for a few extra minutes.
- Serve and enjoy!
Green Beans & Mashed Potatoes (Microwave)
- Remove from pouch and place in microwave safe dish.
- Cover to prevent spilling, cook on high 3 minutes.
- Stir and re-cover.
- Cook 2-3 more minutes on high. Add a little milk to mashed potatoes if creamier version is desired.
- Let stand 1 minute. Containers will be HOT.
- Serve and enjoy!
Mac & Cheese, Stuffing and Cornbread (Oven)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Remove from pouches and place in oven safe dishes.
- Cook in oven for about 30 minutes or until internal temperature of 140°F.
- Cover Stuffing with Foil.
- Remove cornbread from pouch and warm in oven for last 5 minutes if desired.
- Serve and enjoy!
Turkey and Gravy (Stove Top)
- Open turkey pouch and slice meat to desired thickness.
- Put sliced turkey and gravy in a pot together.
- Heat on medium-low oven-top, stirring occasionally until temperature of 150° F.
- Serve and enjoy!
