They say that everything’s bigger in Texas, and Taste of Texas is no exception. Family owned-and-operated since its founding by Nina & Edd Hendee in 1977, the legendary Houston steakhouse is one of the largest independent restaurants in the country – and it serves up more Certified Angus Beef than any other single restaurant worldwide. All of the Heritage Angus cattle are carefully selected from local family ranches, and each steak is aged in a state-of-the-art facility. Perfect for the grill, these steaks really are a true taste of Texas – and they’re shipping straight from the Lone Star State to your door!

- 1 Sizzling Cow Platter
- 1 Custom made Corian style base
- Includes instructions for how to heat the platter to make your steaks sizzle.
- Each platter weighs approx. 1.15 lbs. and measures 11.5″ × 7.5″ × 1.5″
- Each Corian-Style base weighs approx. 2.47 lbs.
- Knives and Steaks not included.
- Items arrive ready to enjoy!
To Serve
- While seasoning your steaks, turn on your oven’s broiler.
- When the oven reaches about 500℉, lift the cow platter off its base and place in the oven using tongs.
- When you are ready to plate your grilled steaks, remove the hot platter from the oven with tongs using extreme caution, and set it back on its base, making sure the feet are inserted.
- Place your grilled steak on the platter and top with your choice of butter.
- Serve and enjoy!

Taste of Texas is home to a world-class Texas history museum, it’s hosted over 500,000 Texas school children on Texas History Tours, welcomed countless foreign guests, and the menu has been translated into thirteen languages, but at its heart it’s all about the Texas beef. All of the Heritage Angus cattle are carefully selected from family ranches, and each steak is aged for 40 days in a state-of-the-art facility before being carefully trimmed of all extraneous fat.
