The Ladoo Experience Box

The Swaadish Box is a curated selection of 12 handmade ladoos — 4 heirloom varieties, 3 of each — made fresh every week by Neelma in Gaithersburg, MD and available for pick up.

Every ladoo is made by hand in small batches using real ghee, whole wheat, and ingredients you can pronounce. Each one is a piece of our culture — something we are proud to share with your family and friends.

Each box arrives in a beautiful emerald green box, ladoos nestled in a gold tray and wrapped in delicate tissue paper. It’s gift-ready the moment it reaches you — no extra wrapping, no last-minute run to the store, just open and give.

Made the Traditional Way. Real cream. Real paneer. Real milk solids. Our mithai is made the way it’s always been made — not reformulated into a shelf-stable shortcut. Every box is handcrafted fresh and ready for you to pick up, at its absolute best.

This package serves 6 people and includes

  • 3 Badam Delight Ladoos – A spin on the classic kaju katli, made with almond instead of cashew. Rich, nutty and delicately spiced with cardamom, with that same smooth, melt-in-your-hand bite you love in a katli — just warmer, earthier, and unmistakably almond.
  • 3 Kalakand Ladoos – Soft, delicate and melts in your mouth. A gently grainy milk cheese fudge with the rich creaminess of reduced milk and a warm whisper of cardamom.
  • 3 Khoya Pinnis – Warm, nutty and just the right amount of crumbly. Whole wheat flour and roasted chickpea flour, roasted together in clarified butter with rich milk solids, finished with crushed pistachio — the kind of bite that tastes like a festive morning in your grandmother’s kitchen.
  • 3 Rose Coconut Ladoos – Soft, chewy and full of coconut in every bite. Fine desiccated coconut folded into rich clarified butter and heavy cream, so delicate it dissolves the moment it hits your tongue — one bite in, and you’re already reaching for a second.
  • Ladoos ship chilled with ice packs, may thaw in transit.
  • Upon arrival, enjoy them at room temperature.
  • You can store them in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • Allow them to come to room temperature before enjoying them.

To Serve

  • When ready to enjoy, allow the ladoos to come to room temperature before serving — this is when the flavors and textures are at their very best.
  • Bring to room temperature for 15–20 minutes before enjoying.

Heirloom Mithai, From a South Asian Family Recipe

Heirloom Mithai, From a South Asian Family Recipe

Swaadish by Neelma began with a simple conviction: that South Asian sweets deserve to be celebrated, never compromised.

Neelma was born in Iran to Indian parents and spent nine years in London before moving to the US. In her family, food was how love was spoken, and mithai sat at the center of every birthday, every celebration, every occasion that brought everyone together. She grew up watching her mother and aunts make it by hand, with patience, with care, and never a shortcut. That lesson became the foundation of her kitchen.

Ladoos are the heart of what she makes. Each one is handcrafted in small batches from recipes passed down by her mother and refined over years to her own palate, with more flavor and less sugar than tradition calls for, because mithai should taste like something, not simply be sweet. Every ingredient is real: real saffron, pure ghee, fresh pistachios, and no substitutes.

Every box leaves Neelma's kitchen touched by hand and packaged to arrive as a gift worthy of the people you love most.
