Our caramels are made the old-fashioned way—slow-cooked in a big kettle to just the right temperature for a smooth, rich texture that melts in your mouth. Each buttery piece is finished with a sprinkle of fleur de sel salt and wrapped in waxed paper. The chocolate version is made with melted bittersweet chocolate folded into the base. Made daily in small batches at our Oakland bakery, each bag includes four of each flavor.

Founded in California, inspired by Paris. Miette began with a stall at the farmers market, selling simple, beautiful cakes. Today we’re a small-batch bakery with a worldwide following, known for exquisite treats—shortbread, cakes, caramels, and macarons—made with fresh eggs, good butter, and French technique. Everything is baked to order, for special occasions—or no occasion at all.
