Some restrictions applyThis Baltimore-style white pizza is topped with hand-grated mozzarella and Reggianito cheeses, fresh garlic, and sweet onion. The handmade crust is pressed into an oiled cast iron pan, and it bakes up thick, puffy, and almost focaccia-like, with a crunchy outer crust and a massive amount of stretchy, lightly browned cheese on top.
Founded by Neapolitan immigrant Matthew Cacciolo and his son Frank in Baltimore’s Highlandtown neighborhood way back in 1943, Matthew’s Pizza is a Baltimore landmark and the city’s oldest pizzeria. If you’ve never had Baltimore-style pan pizza, Matthew’s is the best place to experience it, either topped with mozzarella, Reggianito, or both; or their signature Crab Pizza, topped with cheese, onion, a sprinkle of Old Bay, and plenty of fresh Maryland crab.

Baltimore’s Iconic Crab Pizza Since 1943

Founded by Italian immigrant Matthew Cacciolo and his son Frank in Baltimore’s Highlandtown neighborhood way back in 1943, Matthew’s Pizza is a Baltimore landmark and the city’s oldest pizzeria. If you’ve never had Baltimore-style pizza, Matthew’s is the best place to experience it: the handmade crust is pressed into an oiled pan, and it bakes up thick, puffy, and almost focaccia-like, with a crunchy outer crust, bright & fresh tomato sauce, and a massive amount of stretchy, lightly browned cheese on top.
You can’t go wrong with their famous Mozzarella, Reggianito, or “Both Cheese” pizzas, but Matthew’s most famous creation is their signature Crab Pizza, topped with both cheeses, onion, a sprinkle of Old Bay, and plenty of fresh Maryland crab. It’s a true taste of Baltimore, and there’s nothing else like it. Matthew’s Pizza is a Baltimore must-visit, and now it’s shipping its legendary pizzas nationwide!
