Since it was founded in the basement of Italian-born Nunziata Marchiano’s rowhouse in the outskirts of Philadelphia in 1982, Marchiano’s Bakery has become a beloved neighborhood institution. Passed to Nunzuata’s son Frank and now to his daughters Christina and Daneen, it’s a true family-run operation that’s become famous for its Philly tomato pie and specialty Italian bread stuffed with meats, cheeses, and veggies.
This package includes your choice of 6 or 12 loaves of Cheesesteak Stuffed Italian Bread
- Each loaf serves 1-2 people
- Each loaf measures approx. 10” x 4” x 1.5” and weighs. approx. 15.4 oz.
- Bread ships frozen with ice packs, may thaw in transit.
- Upon arrival, store bread in the refrigerator for up to 2 days or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
To Serve
- If frozen, place bread in the refrigerator overnight to thaw.
- Once thawed, leave the bread on your countertop for 1-2 hours before heating.
- Preheat the oven to 350° F.
- Remove packaging and slice the bread diagonally along the length to desired size. Each loaf makes approx. 6 slices.
- Place slices on a baking sheet with parchment paper or non-stick foil, and cover with foil.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes covered until the cheese is melted. Remove the foil and continue baking to desired crispiness.
- Serve and enjoy!
