- Each Empanada weighs approx. 2.75 oz. and measures 4.5" to 1.8"
- Empanadas ship frozen with dry ice
- Dry ice may dissipate in transit
- Do not remove dry ice with bare hands
- Upon arrival, place empanadas in the freezer for up to 12 months
- Do not thaw empanadas; prepare empanadas fully frozen
To Serve
Air Fryer
- Pre-heat the air fry at 400°F
- Arrange empanadas in a single layer (do not overcrowd)
- Heat for 20-25 minutes, or until desired level of crispiness
- NOTE: For cheese empanadas, air fry for no more than 10 minutes or dough will rupture
- Ensure internal temperature reaches 165°F
- Remove, serve and enjoy!
Oven
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Arrange empanadas in a single layer on a baking sheet (do not overcrowd)
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until desired level of crispiness

Deep Fry

Malu’s Foods in Atlanta, Georgia brings the flavor of Colombian corn empanadas to life with crispy golden corn dough and savory, comforting fillings rooted in family tradition. Named for founder Maria Lucia, affectionately called “Malu,” the business began in a home kitchen where Erika, the family’s “mother-in-chief,” prepared the same handmade empanadas they grew up enjoying together.
Word quickly spread from friends and neighbors to the wider Atlanta community, drawn to the authentic taste and heartfelt craftsmanship. Since expanding in 2023, Malu’s Foods continues its mission of sharing traditional Colombian-style empanadas made with quality ingredients and care, shipped nationwide on Goldbelly.
