Garlic Parmesan Grilled Oysters

One dozen shucked Gulf Oysters in the half shell topped with a classic Garlic Parmesan compound butter. These delicious oysters are the classic version of charboiled/grilled oysters made famous in South Louisiana restaurants.

Since 1985, the family-owned and operated Louisiana Crawfish Company has been shipping live crawfish from Natchitoches, Louisiana, across the US. What started as a hobby for David McGraw quickly grew into a successful seafood company, sending live Cajun crawfish from the family farm cross country, so crawfish lovers can get an authentic taste of Louisiana’s bayous.

This package serves 2 people and includes 12 Gulf Oysters and 1 Garlic Parmesan Compound Butter

  • Items ship frozen with ice packs, may thaw during transit
  • Upon arrival, keep oyster kit in the freezer until ready to cook.
  • Oyster kit can be stored in the freezer for up to 6 months or until expiration date on the package.

To Serve

Thawing & Preparation

  • Thaw Oyster Kit in the refrigerator before cooking. Kit can be safely stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
  • Remove Oyster Kit from the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature about 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Preheat the grill to medium/high or preheat the oven to 400℉. For best results, butter should be completely thawed and soft – but do not leave the Oyster Kit out of refrigeration longer than needed to soften the butter.

Cooking on the Grill

  • Place oysters carefully on the grill to keep the butter from spilling out of the shell.
  • Grill over direct heat for 5-6 minutes until the oysters are cooked and the butter is melted. (Note: This will take longer if oysters are frozen or if butter is still cold.)
  • Watch the oysters during the grilling process as the butter will melt and may cause flames to erupt on the grill.
  • Take care not to burn the oysters.

Baking in the Oven

  • Place oysters on an oven-safe baking sheet and bake for 6-8 minutes until cooked and butter is melted.
  • Place oysters carefully on the pan to keep the butter from spilling out of the shell.

Bon Appetit!

  • Serve your oysters right away on a heat-safe plate or platter and enjoy with crusty French bread to mop up the butter! Pro Tip: Use rock salt on your serving platter to make a bed for your grilled oysters.

Natchitoches, LA
So you don’t have time to go down to Louisiana, spend a day catching crawfish, set out the picnic tables, invite all your friends over, cook the little critters, oh and you’ll probably have to learn how to fish, too. That’s okay--we don’t have that kind of time either. You can still throw a boss bayou crawfish boil with the help of Louisiana Crawfish. This family owned and operated business has been around since 1985, helping the angler-challenged take a bite out of Louisiana’s bayous.
