Kouign Amann Gift Box of 6

Crunchy, caramelized, and buttery all the way through. Kouign amann, the Breton pastry whose name means “buttery cake,” folds layers of butter and sugar into the dough until it bakes into a salted caramel shell around a flaky, slightly gooey center. Pastry chef Romina Rasmussen opened Les Madeleines in Salt Lake City in 2003 and became the first baker west of the Mississippi to offer it, later landing on Food Network’s The Best Thing I Ever Ate. Perfect for a weekend brunch, a pastry lover’s birthday, or a gift box of six worth sharing. Move over, croissant.

Salt Lake City, UT
Salt Lake City is one of the sweetest places in the country thanks to renowned pastry chef Romina Rasmussen. Inspired by her world travels, Les Madeleines offers a stellar collection of pastries and savories all handmade from scratch using only the finest ingredients, and was the first to offer a variety of unique, gourmet cupcake flavors and French macarons in the area. The real pièce de résistance, though? The Kouign-amann, a rich Breton pastry made with layers of creamy butter and sugar folded in, perfectly flaky and 100% moan-inducing. It’s everything you’ve ever lusted for in a pastry and more.
