Empanadas with Caribbean Flavors Made in the South

A go-to favorite at local events and food festivals across Atlanta, with a growing following for its bold Puerto Rican and Dominican flavors.

Empanadas with Caribbean Flavors Made in the South

La Jefa Empanadas, the Georgia kitchen behind handcrafted Caribbean-style empanadas — traditional and vegan — was founded in 2016 by Angela, a South Bronx native who started making empanadas for recording studio clients after moving to Atlanta and quickly realized the city needed them. Raised cooking beside her parents, inspired by her mother's homegrown herbs, Angela built La Jefa around family, culture, and advocacy for her son Liam, diagnosed with Autism and ADHD.

Bold Puerto Rican and Dominican flavors, rooted in a South Bronx kitchen and built for Atlanta — shipped nationwide on Goldbelly.
