Idaho Spud & Old Faithful - 36 Pack

Idaho Candy Company ships its famous classic chocolate candy nationwide on Goldbelly! The Idaho Spud Bar was originally marketed as a “Healthful” candy bar since it is made with agar agar instead of gelatin. Named after the geyser in Yellowstone National Park, the Old Faithful bar is nothing short of delicious. The Old Faithful is a chocolate peanut cluster bar with a soft white, vanilla-flavored marshmallow center that is topped with whole peanuts and then generously coated with premium quality milk chocolate.

Since 1901, Idaho Candy Company has been creating chocolate candy like the Idaho Spud Bar, a wonderful combination of a light cocoa flavored, soft marshmallow center drenched with a dark chocolate coating and then sprinkled with coconut (Sorry, no potato!) that was introduced in 1918. Founded by T.O. Smith, the candy maker still makes its nostalgic chocolate candy in its original Boise, Idaho, factory using many of the same machines from the early 1900s.

The package includes 18 Idaho Spuds and 18 Old Faithful bars

T.O. Smith came to Boise in 1901 to help build the Dewey Palace Hotel. When the job ended, he didn't leave. He started making candy and selling it door to door out of shoe boxes. It caught on fast. Within months, seventeen candy makers were working out of a small frame shop, supplying Boise's sweet tooth. By 1909, T.O. had moved the operation into a purpose-built factory at 412 S. 8th Street, a building we still use today. In 1918, we introduced the Idaho Spud Bar: a cocoa marshmallow center enrobed in dark chocolate and finished with coconut. It's been a staple ever since. Four families. 125 years. Same factory, same recipes, same standards. Idaho Candy is now proudly veteran owned and still making candy the way T.O. intended.
