Best Seller Cheese Trio
96%Read ReviewsShips Nationwide in U.S.
Not eligible for shipping to CanadaThis is a tasty trio of Cypress Grove’s best-sellers! The perfect accompaniment to any gathering, it’s sure to please cheese lovers and novices alike, and features goat cheese from each of their three lines: soft-ripened, aged, and fresh.
Humboldt Fog
Conceived in a dream (yes, really!) by founder Mary Keehn and inspired by the fog that rolls over Humboldt County’s coast, this masterpiece paved the way for soft-ripened goat cheese in America. Each handcrafted wheel features a distinctive ribbon of edible vegetable ash. You’ll enjoy buttermilk and fresh cream, complemented with floral notes, herbaceous overtones, and a clean citrus finish. As Humboldt Fog matures, the creamline develops and the flavor intensifies.
Midnight Moon
This aged goat cheese is made exclusively for Cypress Grove in Holland! Aged six months or more, Midnight Moon is a blushing, ivory-colored goat cheese that’s nutty and brown buttery up front with a long caramel finish. Similar to a Gouda, as Midnight Moon ages, protein crystals form and lend a slight crunch to the otherwise dense and smooth cheese. Know someone who (gasp!) doesn’t like goat cheese? Encourage them to dip their toes back in the water with Midnight Moon, which has been known to convert even the staunchest of goat cheese critics!
Purple Haze
Subtly sweet with the tangy brightness of fresh goat cheese! The distinct and unexpected marriage of lavender and hand-harvested fennel pollen makes Purple Haze utterly addictive — and unforgettable. They use the finest ingredients they can get our hands-on, and always start with the highest quality milk — the building block for their entire line of cheese.
Back in the late 1970s, Mary Keehn, a self-proclaimed “serious hippie” and single mother of four, purchased two goats from a Humboldt County neighbor as a source of fresh milk. She soon had more milk than she could handle, so she tried her hand at making goat cheese, and in 1983 Cypress Grove was born. Since those humble beginnings, Cypress Grove has gone on to become one of the most famous and award-winning cheese producers in America. Their dairy is Humane Certified, and their lineup of tangy fresh cheeses, bloomy masterpieces, and nutty aged cheeses are all hand-crafted the old-fashioned way. These are some of the most delicious and creative goat cheeses ever made, and they’re shipping nationwide!

Humboldt County’s Legendary Cheesemaker
Humboldt County’s Legendary Cheesemaker

Back in the 1970s, the term “American cheese” referred to, well, American cheese. But all that began to change when Mary Keehn, a self-proclaimed “serious hippie” and single mother of four, purchased two goats from a Humboldt County neighbor as a source of fresh milk.
From their legendary Humboldt Fog (which has a line of ash running through it, inspired by the fog blanketing the Humboldt County coastline) to their bloomy-rind, truffle-laced Truffle Tremor to their fennel & lavender-coated Purple Haze, these are some of the most delicious and creative goat cheeses ever crafted, and they’re shipping nationwide!
