Elephant Green Chili Chutney

Elephant Green Chili Chutney’s founding story begins in 1986, when Cashmira Sethna started perfecting her family’s green chili recipe. More than four decades later, Cashmira and her daughter Tanzie Turel launched Elephant Green in November 2024 — a mother-daughter duo from New York with Indian heritage, making their chutney in Connecticut from just six clean ingredients: signature green chilis, coconut, cilantro, and nothing artificial. Vibrant, herbaceous, zesty-sweet-and-hot; the first green chili chutney of its kind in the U.S. Northeast market, and a 2026 sofi Award Finalist praised by Andrew Zimmern.

India's Flavors, New York's Spirit

Cashmira Sethna, the Arverne, New York producer behind a vibrant, four-decade-old green chili chutney, was born in a home kitchen where Cashu drew on Indian culinary roots honed through years of cooking in New York. When her daughter Tan encouraged sharing the recipe beyond the family table, a beloved household staple became a business — one that now reaches food lovers, chefs, and specialty retailers across the country.

Bold heat, balanced acidity, and a versatility that makes it useful on almost anything — Cashmira Sethna's chutney is shipped nationwide on Goldbelly.
