Each hand-pressed thin crust is made from scratch and topped with mozzarella – never precooked, so it puffs fresh in your own oven. The recipe goes back to the founder’s boyhood in his uncle’s West Haven pizzeria, and the New Haven Pizza School has recognized the result. Bake it lightly golden, well-done, or charred for that classic New Haven finish. Always a favorite for families.
Never prebaked, each pizza is prepared fresh and then baked 100% by you
This package includes 4 Mozzarella Pizzas
- Each pizza serves 1-3 people and measures approx. 10"
- Pizzas ship frozen with dry ice, may dissipate in transit.
- Do not handle dry ice with bare hands.
- Pizzas may arrive slightly defrosted, which is normal. Simply place in the freezer immediately.
- Pizzas can be stored in the freezer for up to 6 months.
To Serve
- Put empty baking sheet in the oven and preheat to 500°F.
- Remove pizza from freezer and allow it to sit on the counter for a few minutes while oven preheats.
- After a few minutes, open the pizza packaging and remove cardboard disk from bottom of the pizza.
- Then carefully remove the empty baking sheet from the oven. Note: sheet will be hot.
- Place the frozen pizza on the pre-heated hot baking sheet and cook for 12-15 minutes, depending on your oven and desired wellness.
- Remove the pizza and let cool for one minute before serving.

New Haven-style apizza comes home with Carmine's Pizzas. The thin, crisp-to-chewy crust traces back to the founder's boyhood, working in his uncle's pizzeria in West Haven, Connecticut. In 2004 he brought that family recipe to Durham, where Carmine's became a beloved local pizzeria known for a perfect crisp-to-chewy crust and toppings from classic mozzarella and pepperoni to sausage and peppers to vegan. The frozen line was born on a 2016 family vacation, when he froze a few pies to bring along and his kids insisted the world needed to taste them too.
