Founded in 2009 by sisters and pie makers Melissa and Emily Elsen in Brooklyn, New York, Four & Twenty Blackbirds easily makes some of the best pies in Brooklyn and in the U.S. Their signature pies include Salted Caramel Apple Pie and Salty Honey Pie. They’ve been listed on Travel & Leisure’s “America’s Best Pies” and earned immense praise from renowned food experts, including restaurateur Danny Meyer and Food Network’s Bobby Flay.

This package serves 8-10 people and includes a Signature Salted Caramel Apple Pie

  • Each pie measures 9.5" round
  • Pies ship frozen with ice packs, may thaw during transit.
  • Upon arrival, store the pie in the refrigerator or the freezer.
  • May be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days and in the freezer for up to 3 months.

To Serve

Remove the pie from the refrigerator or freezer and bring to room temperature. If desired follow these reheating instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 300°F.
  • Warm pie on a baking sheet for 15-20 minutes.
  • Leave pie to cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
  • Slice and enjoy!

Growing up, Melissa and Emily Elsen watched their Grandmother roll out pie dough at their popular family-owned restaurant, Calico Kitchen, in Hecla, South Dakota. While they later pursued degrees in Finance and the Fine Arts, the sisters eventually settled in Brooklyn with the dream of opening NYC's best local pie shop.

Fast forward nearly a decade and we think it's safe to say "Mission Accomplished," as Four & Twenty Blackbirds is making some of the best pies (often with seasonal ingredients) found coast to coast.
