For the May Cake of the Month, Daisy Cakes uses Authentic Florida Key West Lime Juice to make this pound cake.
First, Daisy Cakes hand-sift, then put a hint of pure lime extract in the batter. As soon as the piping hot cake comes out of the oven, they fill it full of a homemade Key Lime frosting. It sinks in and makes the cake super moist and super flavorful! Each cake is hand-sifted and made from scratch in the Pauline, South Carolina kitchen.
This package serves 16-20 people and includes a Florida Key Lime Pound Cake
- Each cake measures approx. 8.5″ × 4″ and weighs approx. 4 lbs.
- Each cake is carefully wrapped and sealed in a signature Daisy Cake Box
- Daisy Cakes are shipped frozen with dry ice
- Please do not remove dry ice with bare hands!
- When your Daisy Cake arrives, take it out of the shipping container and store it in your freezer until you are ready to thaw and serve.
To Serve
- Completely unwrap and thaw before serving. Six hours of thawing and your Daisy Cake will be the perfect temperature to serve! Note: Once a cake has been thawed do not re-freeze or refrigerate or the cake will dry out. Please store covered at room temperature.

Daisy Cakes was founded in Pauline, SC by Kim Nelson using the traditions and recipes handed down to her by her mother Geraldine and Great Aunt Daisy. This southern tale of family tradition and farm-fresh ingredients dates back through generations. The result is cakes so good that when Kim appeared on "Shark Tank," Barbara Corcoran couldn't resist investing!
The story all starts here in South Carolina, with “The Southern Misses”. These southern belles were the talented bakers who passed down their hand-made recipes with love, from generation to generation. Daisy Cakes' appreciation of farm-fresh ingredients is rooted in childhood memories. Back on the farm, the Misses baked and cooked as a way to show their families how much they loved them. Their farm provided fresh eggs from the coop, vegetables from the garden, and delicious hand-churned butter. At Daisy Cakes, their appreciation of farm-fresh ingredients still rings true today. From the farm-fresh eggs to the simple lemon curd - which Kim will only make in her mother’s original enamel pot (no one in the kitchen is allowed to touch it!).
