Soup + Pierogis for 2-4 - Choose Your Own
Two quarts of Veselka soup and a dozen pierogi, mixed and matched however you like, the borscht-and-dumpling pairing that defines the place. Choose among Ukrainian borscht, chicken noodle, matzoh ball, mushroom barley, or vegetarian borscht, then pick your pierogi from braised beef to potato, cheese, or sauerkraut and mushroom. Veselka has fed New York’s East Village since 1954, founded by Ukrainian refugees and still family-run. The most comforting meal the city has to offer, for two to four.

Soup Options Include
- Ukrainian Borscht – Classic beet soup with vegetables and roast pork.
- Chicken Noodle Soup – Chicken broth with egg noodles, shredded chicken and vegetables.
- Matzoh Ball Soup – Chicken broth with Matzoh dumplings.
- Mushroom Barley Soup – Creamy mushroom and vegetable soup.
- Vegetarian Borscht – Classic beet soup with vegetables.

- Each potato pancake weighs approx. 4 oz.

- Soup + Pierogis ships frozen with ice packs, may thaw in transit.
- Upon arrival, store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
To Serve
Soup
- Pour the soup in a pot and reheat on the stove. Do not microwave in the container provided
- Serve and enjoy!
Pierogis
- Allow pierogi to defrost completely and cook in salted boiling water for 3-4 minutes.
- Optional: After boiling, pan-fry pierogis in butter until golden brown.
- Serve & enjoy!
Potato Pancake
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Place frozen pancakes on an ungreased sheet pan.
- Place in oven and bake for approx. 20-25 minutes, flipping the potato pancakes after the first 10 minutes.
