This version is stuffed with a massive amount of gooey, melty housemade pimento cheese.

To Serve
Juicy Lucy Burger
- Take two of the 3 oz. beef patties, place each portion on your cutting board or flat surface, laying each burger patty side by side.
- Place the pimento cheese mixture (or any cheese you like) in the middle of the flattened patties (2 oz. per burger).
- Lay one patty on top of the other, pinching the corners and patting until the surface is smooth. Make sure that there are no air pockets or melted cheese will leak during cooking.
- Pre-heat a flat top or cast-iron skillet between 450-500°F (or medium-high).
- Season both sides of the patty with kosher salt and black pepper.
- Cook 3-4 minutes then lower the heat to medium and flip, cooking for another 3 minutes on the other side. Total cooking time is usually 9-12 minutes.
- While the Juicy Lucy is cooking, prepare your lettuce, tomato, pickles, and bun.
- Lay the patty on the bottom bun, cover with top bun and enjoy.

Home of New York’s Best “Juicy Lucy”
Whitman's Juicy Lucy was named the best available outside of Minneapolis by The Food Network, and was also awarded a spot on Thrillist's list of New York City's Best Burgers. With the unusual addition of hot pimento cheese, their Midwestern classic Juicy Lucy is transformed into a Southern delicacy.
Home of New York’s Best “Juicy Lucy”
The Juicy Lucy is a Minneapolis specialty, a big burger with a pool of molten cheese oozing out of its center. When Larry Kramer and Craig Koenig opened Whitmans in New York’s East Village in 2010, they added a Juicy Lucy to the menu, but with a Southern kick: it’s stuffed with a massive amount of gooey, melty housemade pimento cheese. This mashup remains their signature burger, and Whitmans is still one of the few restaurants on the East Coast to serve up this Midwestern treat.
