Corned Beef Brisket

Vienna Corned Beef is made from grain-fed beef and hand-trimmed. The pickled brisket is raw corned beef that is cured in brine and ready-to-cook. Corned Beef briskets are tender, moist, and flavorful, perfect for hot or cold sandwiches. The flat cut is the leanest cut of the brisket. Great for consistent slices. Garnished with coriander, mustard seed, bay leaves, and spices.

Emil Reichl and Samuel Ladany, two Austrian-Hungarian immigrants, debuted their Vienna Beef hot dog at the World’s Columbian Exposition in 1893, and the rest is hot dog history. In 1894, Reichl and Ladany opened their first hot dog store in Chicago. In 1982, Jim Eisenberg and Jim Bodman took over, heralding a new chapter for Vienna Beef Hot Dogs. Fiercely prideful of America’s most popular sausage, Chicagoans are downright religious when it comes to Chicago-style hot dogs: about 700,000 are made daily at the Vienna Beef headquarters to supply the 1,800+ local Windy City hot dog vendors who sell Chicago-style hot dogs (each can attend Hot Dog University to learn the basics of the business), ‘cuz a dog just ain’t a dog made any other way.

This package serves 4-6 people and includes approx. 3.4 lbs. of Corned Beef Brisket

  • Arrives uncooked and ready to prepare
  • Corned Beef Brisket ships frozen on ice packs, may thaw in transit.
  • Upon arrival, refrigerate immediately.
  • Corned Beef Brisket may be stored in the refrigerator unopened for up to 3 weeks.
  • After cooking, may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

To Serve

  • Remove from bag.
  • Place corned beef and spices in a large pot.
  • Add water to cover.
  • Cover pot and place on medium-high heat.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Once the water comes to a boil, skim foam off top, reduce heat to medium-low, cover and simmer for 2½ – 3 hours or until desired tenderness.
  • Corned beef is tender when easily pierced with a fork.
  • Slice against the grain and serve with boiled potatoes and cabbage, if desired.
