Veselka’s Grilling Pack is a great way to share Veselka’s signature sausages with friends and family this summer. This pack includes traditional Kielbasa, Cabanos, and Krayana sausages, as well as housemade sauerkraut and beet and horseradish salad.
Since opening in New York’s East Village in 1954, Veselka has become an institution serving up traditional Ukrainian food like pierogi, borscht, and goulash. Founded by Ukrainian refugees Wolodymyr and Olha Darmochwal, Veselka, which means “rainbow,” started out as a newsstand selling soups and sandwiches. Now, the family-owned and operated Veselka is one of New York’s best 24-hour diners, serving Old World comfort food.
This package serves 6-8 people and includes
- Kielbasa (1 lb.) – Classic smoked pork sausage.
- Cabanos (1 lb.) – Thin, dry pork sausage.
- Krayana (1 lb.) – Course smoked pork sausage.
- Housemade Sauerkraut (1 pt.)
- Beet & Horseradish Salad (1 pt.)
- Choose to add on more!

- Each potato pancake weighs approx. 4 oz.
- Fried Onions – 4 oz.
- Beet & Horseradish Salad – 1 pt.
- Sauerkraut – 1 pt.
- Spicy Brown Mustard – 4 oz.
- Kit ship frozen with ice packs, may thaw during transit.
- Sausage can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, or the freezer for up to 2 months.
- Sauerkraut and beet & horseradish salad can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
To Serve
Sausage
- If frozen, defrost in the refrigerator overnight or until fully thawed.
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Sausage is fully cooked, heat until heated through or until internal temp reaches 160° F.
- Serve and enjoy!
Sauerkraut
- Heat on the stove until fully warmed through.
- Serve and enjoy!
Beet & Horseradish Salad
- Should be served cold.

Potato Pancakes – Add On
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Place frozen pancakes on an ungreased sheet pan.
- Place in oven and bake for approx. 20-25 minutes, flipping the potato pancakes after the first 10 minutes.
