Chicken Noodle Soup

A savory chicken broth loaded with egg noodles, shredded chicken, and vegetables, ladled out the same way since 1954. It’s the simplest kind of comfort, done by a kitchen that’s had seventy years to get it right. Veselka has anchored New York’s East Village since Ukrainian refugees Wolodymyr and Olha Darmochwal founded it, and it’s still family-run around the clock. The bowl New Yorkers reach for when the weather turns.

    • Each potato pancake weighs approx. 4 oz.

  • Spicy Brown Mustard – 4 oz.
  • Soup ships frozen with ice packs, may thaw in transit.
  • Upon arrival, store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

To Serve

Soup

  • Pour the soup in a pot and reheat on the stove. Do not microwave in the container provided
  • Serve and enjoy!

Potato Pancake – Add On

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Place frozen pancakes on an ungreased sheet pan.
  • Place in oven and bake for approx. 20-25 minutes, flipping the potato pancakes after the first 10 minutes.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Pierogis – Add On

  • Allow pierogi to defrost completely and cook in salted boiling water for 3-4 minutes.
  • Optional: After boiling, pan-fry pierogis in butter until golden brown.
