Bust out those recorders, folks! Hot cross buns from The Peach are here! This pack includes their version 12 delightfully soft, slightly dense traditional hot cross buns for your holiday table. Studded with moist Zante currants, a touch of orange zest, and comes with sweet vanilla cross icing to add on top. These hot cross buns are the perfect spin on an old-time favorite.

The Gingered Peach was founded in 2014 with the goal of turning out approachable, delicious baked goods with an eye toward nostalgia. Founder and head baker Joanne Canady-Brown makes all of her beloved creations by hand, using only pure butter, milk, eggs, flour, and other real ingredients — no boxed mixes or shortcuts here!

This package serves 12 people and includes

  • 12 Hot Cross Buns
  • Icing (7 oz.)
  • Each Hot Cross Bun measures approx. 3″ × 3″
  • Hot Cross Buns ship frozen with ice packs, may thaw in transit.
  • Upon receiving your buns, freeze immediately if planning to serve on a later date.
  • Hot cross buns should be removed from the freezer at least 3 hours before serving, and left at room temperature before enjoying.

To Serve

  • If you plan to eat your hot cross buns immediately, remove the protective wrap and allow them to acclimate to room temperature (this can take an hour or so).
  • Add icing to buns
  • For an extra treat, microwave buns for 15 seconds to enjoy them warm. The icing may run a little, but isn’t that the best part!
  • Serve and enjoy!

They’re not reinventing the wheel here, and that’s the point: these are classic, old-fashioned baked goods, and they’ll bring back some serious childhood memories.

Her cinnamon buns are soft, gooey, and sell out daily; her huge cookies clock in at over 4 inches in diameter; her super-fudgy brownies are made with high-end semisweet dark chocolate; and her old-fashioned pound cake is dense yet soft, and lent extra moisture and tang from European-style butter and Philadelphia cream cheese. One bite and you’ll understand what put this little mom & pop bakery on the map!
