- Hurricane Drink Mix can be stored at room temperature until opened. Once opened, may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
- Upon arrival, store pralines wrapped at room temperature for up to 8 months.
- Store coffee in an opaque, airtight container in a cool, dark place, away from heat, light, and moisture until the “best by” date. For best flavor, use within 1-2 weeks of opening and avoid refrigerating or freezing.
- Store seasoning in an opaque, airtight container in a cool, dark place, away from heat, light, and moisture for up to 3 years.
- Store unopened hot sauce in a cool, dark place away from heat and light. After opening, place in the refrigerator.
- Store chee-wees in a cool, dark place away from heat and light. Once opened, keep in an airtight container and consume within 1-2 weeks.
- Voodoo chips may be stored in a cool, dark place away from heat and light. Once opened, they should be stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry place to prevent them from going stale.
- Beignet mix may be stored in a cool, dark place away from heat and light. The shelf life for the unopened mix is 365 days, but it’s recommended to use it before the “best by” date.
To Serve
Beignet Mix
- Mix in bowl 2 cups mix and 7 fl. oz. water. Stir with spoon until blended.
- Roll to 1/8" thickness on floured surface, using flour liberally on dough.
- Cut into 2 1/4" squares. Makes about 2 dozen.
- Fry 1-2" of oil at 370° F basting continually on each side until puffy and light golden. Drain well. (Oil should be hot enough for dough to pop to surface in 8-10 seconds.)
- Sprinkle generously with powdered sugar and enjoy!
Hurricane Drink Mix
- Get a glass that holds 28 oz.
- Add 4 oz. of Hurricane Rum or a good Amber/Gold Rum.
- Add 4 oz. of Hurricane Mix.
- Fill with crushed ice.
- Garnish with an orange and cherry.
