Thomasville Tomme Wedge

Named for the South Georgia town where Sweet Grass Dairy has made cheese for two decades, Thomasville Tomme is the creamery’s flagship and the wheel the rest of the range grew up around. Raw-milk and naturally rinded, it’s aged 60 to 90 days in the style of a Pyrenees farmhouse tomme until the semi-firm paste turns smooth and supple, with nutty, earthy, gently savory notes and a whisper of fresh grass from the barn-free herd. It’s the everyday table cheese that made a Southern creamery a national name, equally at home on a board or melted into something. Perfect for a first cheese on any plate, a grilled cheese with real character, or a gift for someone who values the classics done right.

A Southern creamery with a national reputation — and the hardware to prove it.

The South’s Most Honored Artisan Cheese

Out of Thomasville, Georgia, Sweet Grass Dairy makes some of the most decorated artisan cheese in the American South, led by Green Hill, a luscious double-cream with a soft bloomy rind that has become the creamery's calling card. Jessica Little grew up on a dairy, learning from a mother who helped pioneer artisan cheesemaking in the Southeast; she and her husband Jeremy have spent two decades building on that foundation, earning more than 50 national and international honors from the American Cheese Society, the World Cheese Awards, and the Good Food Awards.

The range runs from Thomasville Tomme, aged 60 to 90 days in the style of a Pyrenees tomme, nutty and smooth, to Asher Blue, creamy enough to convert skeptics, to Georgia Gouda, a 2023 release that swept the major competitions in its first year. Sweet Grass Dairy's Southern cheese is shipped nationwide on Goldbelly, proof the South belongs on any cheese board.
