Sugaree’s ships its famous cakes nationwide on Goldbelly! We’ve heard of strawberry pie, but strawberry cake? Why, yes! Made in the Deep South by a heritage bakery, Sugaree’s Strawberry Cake is the sweetest, loveliest, most delicate shade of pink you have ever seen. And the buttercream icing, made with sweet butter, is also the creamiest, lightest, prettiest pink. How do they get their delectable pink color? By packing the dough batter and the icing with plump, sweet, ripe, fresh strawberries that also give the cake an amazingly succulent, wonderfully delicate strawberry flavor.

Baking the old-fashioned way, Sugaree’s in New Albany, Mississippi, is committed to keeping classic Deep South recipes and baking techniques alive by focusing on small-batch and from-scratch recipes. The bakery was founded as a home-based business by Mary Jennifer Russell in 1997 and expanded to a retail shop in 2001. Sugaree’s makes each of its delicious cakes and pies, including Italian Cream Cake and Chocolate Meringue, from scratch.
