- Bake par-baked sourdough bread right away upon arrival or freeze if not baking immediately.
- Store original and caramel popcorn at room temperature for up to 2 weeks; cheese popcorn is best within 5 days; do not refrigerate or freeze.
- Enjoy fresh chocolate chip cookies immediately, keep in the tin for 1–2 days at room temperature, or freeze up to 3 months if wrapped properly.
- Keep brownies up to 5 days at room temperature, 10 days refrigerated, or 3 months frozen if tightly wrapped.
- Store black and white cookies in their original packaging in a cool, dry place and check the expiration date.
- Keep almond bark in a cool, dry place away from heat and sunlight; do not refrigerate.
- Store fresh chocolate chunk banana bread tightly wrapped; it lasts 1–2 days at room temperature, up to 1 week refrigerated, or 3 months frozen (thaw before enjoying).
To Serve
Par-Baked Sour Dough
- Preheat your oven to at least 400°F (220°C).
Want that extra crispy bottom? Pop a baking stone or sheet pan in the oven while it heats up.- Optional (for best crust): Before preheating, place a small oven-safe pan on the bottom rack. When you put the bread in, carefully pour in ½ cup of hot water to create some steam, then quickly shut the door. No pan? Just give the loaf a light mist with water before it goes in.
- Place your bread straight onto the hot stone, pan, or oven rack.
- Bake for 12–18 minutes, or until:
- The crust is a nice deep golden brown.
- The inside hits 205–210°F (96–99°C)
- Let it rest. Cool the loaf on a wire rack for at least 20 minutes before slicing—this helps the inside set up nicely and avoids that gummy texture.
- Tip: Want a thicker, crunchier crust? Try baking at 390°F (200°C) for 20–22 minutes instead. Lower and slower = extra crunch.

Stew Leonard's is more than a grocery store – It's an experience! Known as the "Disneyland of Dairy Stores," this family-owned company has been making shopping fun since 1969 with its unique country-fair vibe, complete with costumed characters and animated entertainment.
Today, the Leonard family runs eight farm-fresh food stores across Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. They're stocked with just-picked produce, fresh-from-the-docks seafood, a bustling in-store bakery, ready-to-go meals, meat from family-owned cattle ranches in the Midwest, a selection of freshly sliced deli meats and cheeses, and more.
"Back in the early 80s, our family got a call from a good friend. He wanted to send gift baskets to 100 of his clients, so we quickly pulled together treats from the store – caramel corn, cheese, fresh cookies, nuts, and more – and hand-wrapped each basket for delivery. Before we knew it, the phone was ringing off the hook! Since then, we’ve grown to a full production facility, shipping our signature cowprint boxes across the country.
