Some restrictions applySince its founding in Brooklyn’s trendy WIlliamsburg neighborhood in 2013, the small & homey Shalom Japan has shown what happens when two chefs from two unique cultures find each other and build a life together, centered around the table. The husband-and-wife duo of Sawako Okochi and Aaron Israel have infused their respective Japanese and Jewish cultures into the unique menu, which celebrates their individual cultures, diverse cooking backgrounds, and passions for food.
