Founded in 2016, Seed + Mill is the product of three friends united by a shared passion for high quality, healthy ingredients. Located in the food artisan mecca of NYC’s Chelsea Market, Seed + Mill celebrates the simple sesame seed by offering unexpected flavors of tahini (essentially sesame butter) and halva. Derived from the Arabic word “halwa”, meaning “sweet,” halva is a Middle Eastern treat made by mixing freshly milled tahini with sugar. It is a flaky, yet dense confection that is almost fudge-like. Halva is delicious as-is, but even more so when crafted into unique flavors like white chocolate & lemon, cardamom, or sea salt dark chocolate.
This package serves 15-20 people and includes
- Pistachio (1/2 lb.)
- Sea Salt Dark Chocolate (1/2 lb.)
- Toasted Sesame (1/2 lb.)
- Dark Chocolate & Toasted Coconut (1/2 lb.)
- Cardamom (1/2 lb.)
- Store halva in a cool, dry place for up to 4-6 months.
- You can leave your halva in the small containers it ships in or in a similar airtight container.
- Freezing is not recommended, as it will damage the delicate, flaky texture.
To Serve
- Flip each piece out of the container onto a cutting board when ready to serve.
