Handmade Baked Empanadas - Choose Your Own 12 Pack

Take your pick from a wide variety of homemade empanadas. These empanadas are baked and not fried, and are made with a yogurt-based dough!

Rustika Cafe and Bakery was founded in 1994 by pastry chef Francis Reznick. Today, it’s renowned as one of the best cake shops and bakeries in Houston, with Reznick’s children, nieces, and nephews pitching in at the family-owned shop. At Rustika, their vision is simple: create decadent and beautiful desserts while never compromising on flavor or quality.

This package serves 12 people and includes your choice of 12 Empanadas

Each empanada measures 6" in length, 3.5" in width.
Each empanada weighs 4.5 oz. – 5.5 oz.

Empanada Flavor Options Include

Apple (Sweet) – The apple empanada is filled with homemade apple filling with apricot.
Bacon & Egg – The bacon and egg empanada is filled with bacon, and egg (quiche-style).
Beef – The beef empanada is filled with ground beef, carrots, peas, and onions.
Chicken – The chicken empanada is filled with shredded chicken, carrots, peas, and onions.
Chicken Mole – The chicken mole empanada is filled with shredded chicken, and homemade mole.
Chorizo & Egg – The chorizo and egg empanada is filled with pork chorizo, and egg (quiche-style).
Ham & Cheese – The ham and cheese empanada is filled with deli ham, and mozzarella.
Pumpkin (Sweet) – The pumpkin empanada is filled with homemade pumpkin filling.
Sausage & Egg – The sausage and egg empanada is filled with sausage, and egg (quiche-style).
Spinach & Egg – The spinach and egg empanada is filled with spinach, and egg (quiche-style).

Empanadas ship frozen with dry ice
Dry ice may dissipate in transit, empanadas may thaw
Do NOT remove dry ice with bare hands
Upon arrival, store in the refrigerated or freezer
May be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days
May be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months

To Serve

Oven Method

Thaw overnight in the refrigerator
Preheat oven to 350 F
Remove shrink wrap and place empanadas on a baking pan lined with parchment paper or foil
Bake for 8-12 minutes until warm

Microwave Method

From Thawed – Microwave on high for 30-45 seconds per empanada
From Frozen – Microwave on high for 1 minute per empanada
