Rustic Inn Crabhouse, the Dania Beach, Florida landmark behind garlic-butter crabs piled high on paper-covered tables since 1955, built its legend by accident — a happy one involving a roadside saloon, a canal, and a seafood preparation that became the defining dish of the Old Florida experience. Located along the scenic Dania Cut-Off Canal, the Rustic Inn has been a rite of passage for generations of locals and travelers who know to grab a wooden mallet and dig in.
