Ralphie Grotto spent many a memorable afternoon making traditional Italian rice balls, called arancini, with his grandfather while growing up in Brooklyn. After being featured on CNBC’s “Restaurant Startup” in 2016, Ralphie’s Rice Balls took off, receiving heaps of media attention and popping up at fairs and feasts across the region. Ralphie is putting new-school twists on this old-world treat, using only 100-percent natural ingredients in his lineup of rice balls.

Rice Balls must be heated prior to enjoying

This package serves 6 people and includes 12 Rice Balls.

  • Each Rice Ball weighs 3 oz.
  • Rice Balls arrive in packs of 4
  • Choose to add Sweet Rice Pudding & Nutella Dessert Rice Balls!
    • Creamy, slow-cooked rice pudding is infused with generous amounts of aged granulated cinnamon, stuffed with Nutella, then rolled in crushed cannoli shells and triple deep-fried to perfection!

  • 4 Classic – Ralphie’s Carolina rice blend consists of creamy Parmigiano-Reggiano with added pecorino Romano cheese, fresh minced curly parsley combined with a family secret blend of spices!
  • 4 Sicilian – Ralphie’s Carolina rice blend consists of creamy Parmigiano-Reggiano with added pecorino Romano cheese, fresh minced curly parsley combined with a family secret blend of spices, stuffed with 90/10 grass-fed beef slowly simmered in 3rd generation marinara sauce with peas and oozing mozzarella!
  • 4 Chop Cheeseburger – Ralphie’s Carolina rice blend consists of creamy Parmigiano-Reggiano with added pecorino Romano cheese, fresh minced curly parsley combined with a family secret blend of spices, packed with mouth-watering sharp Vermont cheddar cheese and an 80/20 ground beef blend!
  • This package ships frozen with dry ice, dry ice may dissipate in transit
  • DO NOT remove dry ice with bare hands
  • Upon arrival, place Rice Balls in the freezer
  • Rice Balls may thaw in transit
  • Rice Balls will last for 3 hours at room temperature, 7 days in the fridge, or 4 months frozen

Rice Balls

  • Remove from freezer
  • Allow desired amount of Rice Balls to thaw for 2 hours
  • Preheat oven to 450-500 F
  • Bake Riceballs for 12-15 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165 F

Dessert Rice Balls – Add On

  • Thaw rice balls for 3-4 hours on the counter.
  • Preheat oven to 500°F.
  • Place rice balls on a baking sheet and heat for 10-15 minutes.
  • Serve and enjoy!
