To Serve
- Cook hot dogs
- Boil Method: Remove hot dogs from package and place in a pot of boiling water. If thawed, boil for 6-7 minutes, if still frozen, boil for 8-9 minutes. Hot dogs are ready when their internal temp reaches 150 F.
- Grill Method: Remove hot dogs from package and place in a pot of boiling water. If thawed, boil for 6-7 minutes. If still frozen, boil for 8-9 minutes. The hot dogs are ready for grill when their internal temp reaches 150F. At that point, place the hot dogs on a grill for approximately 30 seconds on each side. Please note grilling is not the traditional method for cooking Pink’s hot dogs particularly because grilling may cause the natural casing skin to break. If the skin break, this loses the snap of the hot dog. However, grilling can create an appetizing crunchy texture on the skin of the hot dog.
- Steam Method: Remove hot dogs from package and place in a steam safe pan. Place pan in steamer and steam for 6-7 minutes if thawed, 8-9 minutes if frozen. Hot dogs are ready when their internal temp reaches 150 F.
- Cook onions & peppers
- Stove Top Method: Using a tablespoon of oil, saute onions and peppers in a skillet over medium heat until hot. Season lightly with salt and allow them to cool slightly before adding to your hot dog.
- Microwave Method: Put onions and peppers in a microwave-safe container and heat 1 minute at a time until hot. Season lightly with salt to taste.
- Cook Bacon
- Pan Fry Method: Fry bacon in a skillet over medium heat or in the oven at 350 F until rendered and crispy. Allow it to cool slightly before adding to your dog.
- Microwave Method: Wrap bacon loosely in parchment paper and heat in the microwave for 3-5 minutes and rendered and crispy. Time may vary depending on your microwave.
- Assemble hot dogs in this order: Bun + Hot Dog + Mayonnaise + Ketchup + Onions & Peppers + Bacon Strips + Jalapenos
- Enjoy!
