Sour Cherry Pie Crumble Pie
To make this sour cherry and pear crumble pie (Guy Fieri’s favorite!), sour cherries are tossed with cubed pears, fresh ginger, and lemon, and topped with a brown sugar crumble.
Back in 2006, two Brooklyn cooks named Sarah Sanneh and Carolyn Bane converted a tiny, six-stool former beer storage closet into a homespun counter serving up doughnuts, fried chicken, biscuits, pies, and smoked pork sandwiches. Rave reviews from The New York Times, New York Magazine, Food & Wine, and many more soon followed (as did a visit from Guy Fieri for “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives”), and Pies ‘n’ Thighs legacy as one of New York’s best Southern restaurants was cemented. - 1 Sour Cherry Pear Crumble Pie
- 4 Fried Chicken Cutlets (each 3 oz.)
- 4 Buttermilk Biscuits (each 6 oz.)
- 1 bottle Frank’s Hot Sauce (5 oz.)
- 1 bottle Homemade Honey Butter (8 oz.)
- Each chicken cutlet measures approx. 5.75″ × 2.75″
- Each biscuit measures approx. 3″ × 3″
- Biscuits Arrive Unbaked
- Each Sour Cherry Pie Crumble serves 8 people and measures approx. 9" and weighs 4 lbs.

- Keep everything frozen until you are ready to bake
- Biscuits and cutlets can stay frozen for up to 2 weeks
- Sour Cherry Pie Crumble can be refrigerated for up to 5 days or frozen up to 1 month.
- In the quart container, sides can stay frozen for 1 month, or defrosted in the refrigerator for 4 days.
To Serve
Famous Chicken Sandwich Biscuit Kit
- Preheat oven to 400 F
- Place your biscuits on a parchment-lined sheet pan and bake for 25 minutes. When the biscuits are done they should be golden brown and cooked through (pry one open if you’re not sure!).
- Turn your oven down to 350 F and place the chicken cutlets on a sheet pan.
- Warm in the oven for 10 minutes.
- To assemble, split your biscuit in half and slather honey butter on both sides.
- Place the cutlet on the bottom half and cover generously with hot sauce.
- Top with the honey-buttered top half of the biscuit and enjoy!
Sour Cherry Pie Crumble Pie
- From frozen, defrost in the refrigerator overnight
- Remove pie from all packaging
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Warm for 15 minutes
- Enjoy!
