Piece Pizzeria was founded in 2001 by Bill Jacobs, who had already achieved acclaim in the Windy City for bringing East Coast-style bagels to Chicago with the Jacobs Bros. Bagels chain. A New Haven native, he was disappointed to find no Chicago pizza that resembled the thin, “hold it and fold it,” crunchy-chewy pizza of his youth. More than 20 years later, Piece is one of the highest-grossing independent pizzerias in the country, as well as one of Chicago’s most beloved pizzerias.
This package serves 6 people and includes your choice of 3 New Haven-Style Pizzas
- Each pizza serves 2 people, measures approx. 12", and weighs approx. 1.5 lbs.
Pizza Options Include
- Classic Cheese – Traditional tomato sauce and mozzarella pizza
- Hot Doug’s Atomic Sausage – Red pizza with pepper jack cheese, caramelized onions, and Hot Doug’s famous Atomic Sausage.
- Pepperoni – Red pizza with traditional tomato sauce, mozzarella, and pepperoni pizza
- White Tomato Basil – EVOO Base, chopped garlic, mozzarella, grated pecorino romano, sliced tomato, and basil
- Pizzas ship frozen with ice packs, may thaw during transit.
- Upon arrival, store pizza in the refrigerator or in the freezer.
- Pizzas may be stored for up to 5 days in the refrigerator or up to 2 months in the freezer.
To Serve
- If frozen, allow pizzas to thaw in the refrigerator.
- Preheat oven to 500°F.
- Place pizza on the rack and bake for 4-6 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly.
- Slice, serve, and enjoy!
