Pepper Steak "Beef & Brandy" Hand Pies

Panbury’s Double Crust Hand Pies ships its legendary hand pies nationwide on Goldbelly! A big favorite among South African pie eaters, the pepper steak “beef & brandy” pie is heaping with tender beef and saucy filling and jam-packed with flavor. The pepper steak pie is made with juicy chunks of beef shoulder, caramelized onion, loads of cracked black pepper, and fresh thyme, slow-braised in a rich dark brandy sauce, encased in a light flaky puff pastry, and rich buttery shortcrust pastry base. Each pie is a single serving and serves as a quick bite for one, or alongside a few more pies for an easy group meal. Each pie is handcrafted with love using fresh, high-quality ingredients.

Founded by two South African expats, Lauren Duxbury and Adam Panayiotou, Panbury’s opened in 2014 at the Sweet Auburn Curb Market in Atlanta. Their savory meat pies and vegetarian pies are a nod to traditional British street food with the twist of South African, Australian and other international flavors. Their single-serving hand-pies are flaky, hearty, and absolutely gourmet.

Atlanta, GA
When South African native Lauren Duxbury immigrated to the US in 2009, she and her family grew homesick for their favorite comfort foods. Overnight, she came up with a new concept for a savory pie shop. Founded with fellow South African expat Adam Panayiotou, Panbury’s opened in 2014 at the Sweet Auburn Curb Market in Atlanta. Their savory hand pies are a nod to traditional British street food with the twist of South African, Australian and other international flavors. From Steak & Stout to their Southern Breakfast pies, Panbury’s hand-pies are flaky, hearty gourmet hot pockets to say the least. Each pie is homemade with the best wholesome ingredients, so much so that Eater calls this “comfort food in its purest form.”
