This package serves 6-8 people and includes 1 Cajun Smoked Turkey
- Each turkey weight approx. 10-12 lbs. and arrives fully brined, injected, and smoked
- Turkey ships frozen with dry ice, may dissipate in transit.
- Do not remove dry ice with bare hands.
- If serving within 2-3 days, place turkey in the refrigerator upon arrival. If longer than that, store in the freezer.
- Turkey may be kept refrigerated for up to 5 days or frozen for up to 6 months.
To Serve
Reheating – Fully Cooked Turkey
- If frozen, thaw in the refrigerator for 2-3 days before reheating.
- Remove all packaging before heating.
From Refrigerated (Recommended)
- Preheat the oven to 300°F.
- Place turkey in a roasting pan on a rack and add 1-2 cups chicken broth or water to the pan.
- Cover tightly with foil or use an oven bag.
- Heat 12-15 minutes per lb. This will take approx. 2.5-3 hours for a 12 lb turkey, until 165°F.
- Optional finish: Uncover and increase oven to 375–400°F for 10–15 minutes to re-crisp the skin.
- Rest 15–20 minutes before carving.
- Carve, serve and enjoy!
From Frozen
- Thawing is strongly recommended. If you must reheat from frozen:
- Preheat the oven to 300°F.
- Place turkey in a roasting pan with 2 cups broth/water; cover tightly with foil.
- Heat 25-30 minutes per lb, for approx. 5-6 hours until 165°F.
- Optional: Uncover for the last 10–15 minutes at 375–400°F to crisp the skin.
- Rest 15–20 minutes before carving.
- Carve, serve and enjoy!
