McLoons is a family-owned lobster shack located on a working lobster wharf in South Thomaston on Maine’s off-the-beaten-path Spruce Head Island. McLoons was named the best lobster roll in all of Maine! This sweet, fresh, and meaty lobster is plucked fresh from local waters, and it’s served in a signature half-and-half lobster roll (half butter, half mayo). It’s as authentic Maine as it gets!

- Upon arrival, store chowder in the freezer.
- Upon arrival, store lobster in the refrigerator or in the freezer.
- Lobster can be stored in the refrigerator under ice for up to 5 days or up to 1 month in the freezer.
- For best quality, enjoy lobster fresh!
To Serve
Corn Chowder
- Thaw chowder in the refrigerator.
- Optional: Cut or tear lobster into bite size pieces.
- Heat corn chowder in pan on the stove until heated through.
- Optional: Add lobster meat to chowder and stir together.
- Serve and enjoy!
Clam Chowder
- Continue thawing under refrigeration and prepare immediately.
- Heat in pan on the stove until it reaches 165° F.
- Top with oyster crackers
- Serve and enjoy!
Lobster Stew
- Fresh lobster meat for stew is packed in a separate 8 oz container. Cut or tear lobster into bite-size pieces.
- Heat lobster stew base in pan on stove to 165 F, then add lobster meat and serve.
- Top with oyster crackers.
