Challah
Liv Breads bakes their challah dark! Customers make a special trip on Fridays to snag one of these beauties, which have a wonderfully caramelized crust and a light, fluffy interior. Rip off a chunk and smear it with butter, or slice it thick to make the best French toast you’ll ever try!
Round Chocolate Babka
As opposed to the traditional brioche-based babka, Liv Breads’ babka is made with a laminated Danish dough, where butter and dough are layered together to create a rich and flaky crumb. It’s spread with silky chocolate and crushed graham crackers for a hint of texture before being shaped into a round and baked at high heat, resulting in a soft interior and a flaky and crisp exterior.
Founders Yaniv and Elana Livneh and Bary Yogev opened Liv Breads with the desire to bring a European-style bakery to the suburbs of New Jersey and immediately won the hearts of locals with their focus on technique, ingredients, and hospitality. They created a community gathering place that’s become so successful that they opened a second location in a local upscale mall, expanded the size and offerings in their original location, and opened an additional production facility to meet demand.
