When Joseph Liebman opened Liebman’s Kosher Deli in 1953, there were more than 100 Jewish delis in the Bronx. Today, Liebman’s is the only kosher Jewish deli left standing. In 1980, Joseph Dekel, a native Israeli, bought the kosher deli and went to great lengths to preserve Liebman’s old recipes. When Dekel passed away in 2002, his son Yuval took over. Walking into Liebman’s Kosher Deli is a time warp—from its simple neon sign, to the no-frills Formica tabletops and padded booths, this Bronx deli is a genuine taste of classic New York.

- Meal Kit ships with ice packs which may thaw partially or fully during transit.
- Meat is made to order and flash frozen for shipping.
- Upon arrival, place items in the refrigerator. To serve later, place the meat and sides in the freezer.
- Allow meat to thaw in the refrigerator for a few hours or on a countertop before serving.
To Serve
Gravy
- May be thawed in the refrigerator or on the counter.
- Alternatively, gravy can be microwaved on medium/high for 2-3 minutes. Stir occasionally!
Brisket
- Smother in gravy.
- Gently warm in a 250℉ oven in a covered baking dish until fully heated through.
- Enjoy!
Roast Chicken
- Remove from packaging and place in an oven safe baking dish.
- Cover with foil and heat at 350℉ for 20 minutes.
- Uncover and continue heating for an additional 5 minutes.
- Enjoy!
Hungarian Goulash – Stove
- Remove form packaging and place in a thick bottomed pot.
- Gently heat while stirring frequently until it reaches 140℉.
- Enjoy!
Hungarian Goulash – Microwave
- Alternatively, half of the supplied Goulash can be warmed in the microwave on high for 3 minutes.
- Stir and heat for an additional 2 minutes.
- Repeat these steps with the second half of Goulash.
- Enjoy!
Sides – Egg Barley Pasta with Mushrooms and Kasha Varnishkas
- Microwave for 3 minutes on high.
- Stir and microwave an additional 2 minutes.
- Enjoy!
Tsimmes – Oven
- Place in a baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.
- Heat at 350℉ for 15-20 minutes. Be careful not to burn the bottom.
- Enjoy!
Tsimmes – Microwave
- Alternatively, Tsimmes can be heated in a microwave safe bowl for 3 minutes on medium-high.
- Stir and heat for an additional 2 minutes.
- Enjoy!
Chocolate Babka – Add on
- Babka may be enjoyed at room temperature. If you prefer it warmed, a thawed slice of babka can be microwaved on high for 10-20 seconds.
