Legendary Baked Clams & More, Since 1974

Tucked away in the quiet neighborhood of Howard Beach, Queens, Lenny’s Clam Bar has become a beloved local landmark since founder Joseph DeCandia first opened its doors back in 1974. DeCandia, who emigrated from Italy in 1956 at age 18, spent years working at local pizzerias before opening Lenny’s, which quickly developed a reputation for great seafood and Italian-American classics. A series of commercials featuring DeCandia made Lenny’s a household name in New York, and it remains one of the most iconic restaurants in Queens to this day.
Lenny’s is now run by Joseph DeCandia, Jr., who maintains his father’s legacy of great good, great hospitality, a warm atmosphere, and a free glass of wine to anybody to asks for “Joe.” Its baked clams, seafood salad, homemade desserts, and more classic NYC “red sauce” dishes have put Lenny’s on the map, and now it’s shipping them nationwide!
