Hickory-Smoked Alabama-Style BBQ, Since 1978
Hickory-Smoked Alabama-Style BBQ, Since 1978

Crowned as the best barbecue in Alabama in 2023 by Alabama Magazine, LawLers Barbecue has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 1978. Established by the Lawler brothers, Phillip and Jerry, with just a pit smoker and a passion for hickory, it has grown into an Alabama BBQ legend, boasting over a dozen outlets in northern Alabama and the Tennessee Valley. Phillip’s football days at the University of Alabama under the legendary coach Paul “Bear” Bryant might be behind him, but the legacy of perfection continues with pitmaster Travis Alexander.
Every meat, whether it’s pulled pork, turkey, ham, or chicken, is meticulously hand-pulled and marinated in their signature mild sauce. Don’t forget to add a touch of their award-winning Sweet Red sauce, which clinched the title at the 2015 Year of Alabama BBQ Sauce-Off. Their iconic Stuffie Tater, a massive baked potato brimming with smoked meat, butter, cheddar, and sour cream, is a must-try. Recognized by the Alabama Department of Tourism as one of the “100 dishes to eat in Alabama before you die,” it’s a full-fledged icon. And now, along with their renowned pit-smoked ribs, and homemade BBQ sides & more, it's all being delivered right to your doorstep!
