Fany Gerson launched La Newyorkina in 2010 in Brooklyn, New York, after an inspiring trip to her native Mexico. When she returned to New York, she knew she wanted to share and celebrate the amazing Mexican desserts she rediscovered on her trip. Sourcing the best possible ingredients from both New York and Mexico, Gerson first made paletas (Mexican popsicles). Now La Newyorkina makes a wide range of sweet Mexican treats, including cheesecakes, ice cream, and traditional panadería-style baked goods.

- Each ice cream cake measures approx. 6" and weighs approx. 4 lbs.
Cake Flavors Include
- Bonita Ice Cream Cake (Vegan) – Mexican vanilla lime cake, mango sorbet, and raspberry hibiscus sorbet.
- Gael Ice Cream Cake – Brownie cake, horchata ice cream, chocolate ganache, and roasted strawberry ice cream.
- Goloso Ice Cream Cake – Chocolate fudge cake, Mexican coffee salted cajeta (goat milk caramel), and brown butter pecan crumble.
- Mexican Brownie Marble Ice Cream Cake – Mexican chocolate brownie cake, and Mexican vanilla chocolate swirl ice cream.
- Margarita Ice Cream Cake (Seasonal) – Layers of tangy lime ice cream infused with a splash of tequila and orange liquor, sandwiched between moist vanilla lime cake and a salted chile rim with vanilla cream and candied lime decoration.
- Ice Cream Cakes ship frozen with dry ice, may thaw in transit.
- Do not remove dry ice with bare hands.
- Upon arrival, immediately place the ice cream cake into the freezer with the plastic ring still attached for up to 3 months.
- To serve, remove from packaging and allow a few minutes to thaw prior to cutting and serving.

Fany Gerson launched La Newyorkina in the summer of 2010 after an inspiring trip to her native Mexico. When she returned to New York, she knew she wanted to share and celebrate the amazing treats she'd rediscovered on her trip. Sourcing the best possible ingredients from both New York State and Mexico, Fany set to work making paletas (popsicles), the quintessential Mexican dessert. She rented an ice cream cart and took 850 of her paletas to a street fair to see how New Yorkers would like traditional Mexican flavors, like avocado and mango lime. When all of her paletas sold in just a few hours, she knew she was onto something.
The rest, as they say, is history in the making. La Newyorkina have have continued to grow, opening a brick and mortar flagship and several seasonal locations. They have also expanded their product offerings to include a wide range of Mexican treats, including Cheesecakes, Ice Cream, and traditional Panadería baked goods.
