Signature Pie Crust Cookies

The invention that put Janie’s on the map! Inspired by Janie’s quest for a perfectly-proportioned bite of pie, she invented a cookie where each bite delivers a flaky crust, a heavenly layer of filling, and buttery caramelized streusel. This cookie has won Janie all sorts of awards, made her a Food Network “Chopped Sweets” champion, and given her a purpose in life. Pro tip: They’re great straight out of the box, but are even better after a few minutes in the oven!

After years of struggling with addiction and homelessness, Janie Deegan began baking as an act of self-care while working to rebuild her life and stay sober. Baking had always brought her joy as a child, so in 2015 she began baking treats for friends. She turned this into a small business selling pies for Thanksgiving, and it took off from there: Janie today has three storefronts in New York City and is shipping nationwide.
