Tomato Pie + Cannoli Kit Combo

Tomato pie is one of Philadelphia’s most beloved local specialties, and South Philly’s Iannelli’s Bakery has been serving up some of the city’s finest since 1910. Iannelli’s was founded by current owner Vincent Iannelli’s grandparents, and the East Passyunk Ave. location – and that tomato pie recipe – haven’t changed since day one. With a light crust that tastes like homemade bread and a thick layer of “gravy” (AKA tomato sauce) on top, Iannelli’s brick oven tomato pie is a true taste of Philly history.

This pack pairs Iannelli’s signature tomato pie with their homemade signature cannoli, which start with rich, creamy, whole milk ricotta. It’s combined with sugar and semi-sweet chocolate chips, and shipped to your door along with crispy, crunchy shells, ready for you to fill up at home!

This package serves 6-8 people and includes

  • 1 Brick Oven Tomato Pie
  • 13 Cannoli Shells (each approx. 5")
  • Vanilla Ricotta Cheese w/ Dark Chocolate Morsels Cannoli Filling (1.5 lbs.)
  • Sugar (2 oz.)
  • Pie arrives in 4 packages of 2 slices, 8 slices total
  • Each slice measures approx. 5″ × 8″
  • Items ship frozen with ice packs, may thaw during transit.
  • Upon arrival, store pie and cannoli filling in the freezer for up to 1 year.
  • Upon arrival, store shells and sugar at room temperature for up to 1 month.

To Serve

Tomato Pie

  • Preheat oven to 450°F.
  • Remove packaging and reheat for approx. 5-10 minutes.
  • Slice, serve and enjoy!

Cannolis

  • Allow filling to defrost in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
  • Cut a small hole at the tip with scissors, (if the hole is too small just make it bigger, but not too big) and fill the shells (if you come to realize that you would only prefer to use 1, 2, or even just a 6 for now, simply stop filling, leave all the remaining ricotta in the pastry bag, use a zip-lock and refreeze, then repeat these directions again).
  • Serve and enjoy!

Tomato pie is one of Philadelphia's most beloved local specialties, and South Philly’s Iannelli’s Bakery has been serving up some of the city’s finest since 1910. Vincent began working at the bakery when he was nine years old and while the legendary shop is only open 15 days each year, Vincent is now shipping his family’s iconic tomato pie and cannolis straight to your door!
