Each sampler contains 12 Mini Betty Ann Scones made with white chocolate and dried apricots and cranberries, 12 Mini Cinnamon Scones, 12 mini silver dollar Buttermilk Biscuits, and one half-pint of sorghum butter, made with local Country Rock sorghum. Their Betty Ann scones are the namesake of legendary Midway doyenne Betty Ann Voigt and our Country Rock sorghum is made fresh each fall by Woodford County native Randal Rock.
In 2000, chefs Chris and Ouita Michel purchased the Holly Hill Inn, in the heart of Kentucky Bluegrass Country, from the family that had owned the property for generations. The couple spent a year converting the 1845 mansion into a fine dining restaurant, with a seasonal prix fixe menu featuring Kentucky-sourced ingredients. Holly Hill has become recognized as one of the finest restaurants in the South, earning several James Beard nominations and renowned for cuisine that showcases Kentucky’s local bounty.
This package serves 12 people and includes
- 12 Mini Betty Ann Scones (each 1.5 oz.)
- 12 Mini Cinnamon Scones (each 1 oz.)
- 12 Mini Silver Dollar Buttermilk Biscuits
- Sorghum Butter (1/2 pt.)
- Perishable items ship frozen with ice packs, may thaw in transit
- Keep scones and biscuits frozen until ready to bake
- Sorghum butter may be stored in the freezer (thaw before using), or in the refrigerator.
To Serve
- Preheat oven to 425 ℉
- Place scones and biscuits on an ungreased cookie sheet
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown, rotating the sheet(s) halfway through
- Serve warm with sorghum butter and enjoy!

It quickly achieved acclaim and is today recognized as one of the finest restaurants in the South. In 2020, they began shipping their Midway Bakery cookies all over the United States as friends and family sought to stay connected, and the experience made them realize how much they valued helping create those connections.
