Graeter’s chocolate chips are in a league of their own, and here’s why: instead of stirring in pre-made chips, they stream freshly melted chocolate into the churning ice cream, where it sets into a shell and shatters into chunks of every size. Some are big enough to stop you mid-bite. It’s a quirk of the French Pot process Graeter’s has used in Cincinnati since 1870, four generations on. - Mocha Chocolate Chip – Made with a proprietary blend of dark roasted Colombian and Sumatran Arabica coffee beans, mixed with fresh sweet cream then made sublime with the addition of gourmet bittersweet chocolate
- Toffee Chocolate Chip – classic vanilla ice cream, mix in crunchy pieces of genuine Heath® brand toffee candy, and then perfected with our gourmet milk chocolate chips!
- Graeter’s Ice Cream ships frozen with dry ice.
- Dry ice may dissipate in transit.
- Do not remove dry ice with bare hands.
- Place ice cream in the freezer immediately upon arrival.
- For the best experience, allow the ice cream to temper for 24 hours in the freezer before enjoying.

Cincinnati, OHTo say that Graeter’s Ice Cream is an institution in the ice cream world would be an understatement. More than 150 years and four generations later and Graeter's is still making ice cream as they did in 1870. Home to the world’s only French Pot Freezer, Graeter's uses this old-school machinery to churn out their custard-like ice cream 2 gallons at a time. Every flavor starts with a French-style ice cream base made with eggs and fresh local dairy with 18% butterfat - that's nearly double standard ice cream! Next, high-quality flavors like select fruit from the Pacific Northwest, are added before the ice cream is spun around in the small freezers while being hand scraped off the sides. While the French Pot process is not the most efficient way to make ice cream, the Graeter family continues to use it because it is the only way to make its singularly superb ice cream with a dense, flavorful, and unique creamy texture. Talk about artisanal!
