Gooey Louie was founded by the husband-and-wife duo of Debbie and Kirk Stieferman in 2006, with a recipe passed down from Debbie’s grandmother. They’ve since expanded to two popular St. Louis storefronts.

- Gooey butter cakes ship frozen, may thaw in transit.
- Upon arrival, store cakes in the refrigerator for up to 10 days or in the freezer for up to 6 months.
- Cakes are best eaten within 3 days. Keep cake wrapped or store in an air tight container.
To Serve
- If frozen, frozen cakes to thaw for approximately 2 hours.
- To warm, put cake in the oven at 180 degrees for 5-7 minutes or place a slice in the microwave.

They've since grown to two must-visit storefronts, with a third location coming in Spring of 2025.
Gooey Louie’s gooey butter cakes are addictively delicious and indulgent, made with only the highest-quality ingredients including eggs, butter, and pure vanilla extract and shipped in its own baking tray. The classic is simple perfection, but they’re taking this iconic treat to new heights with flavors including birthday cake, caramel snickerdoodle, mixed berry, and chocolate peanut butter.
