St. Joseph Pastry, also known as “Sfinge” or “Zeppoli,” is a pastry that is enjoyed for Saint Joseph’s day, which is celebrated on March 19th, which coincides with Father’s Day in Italy. In this package you will receive 6 Saint Joseph Pastries with a bag of Cannoli cream to fill them! The pastries are light and somewhat crisp outside, and then filled with rich Cannoli cream inside!
With secret recipes that span three centuries, this fifth generation family-owned bakery continues to handcraft Italian desserts from the same location in NYC’s Little Italy since 1892.
This package serves 6 people and includes
- 6 St. Joseph’s Italian Pastries
- 1 bag Pastry Cream (14 oz.)
- Powdered sugar not included
- Pastries ship frozen with dry ice.
- Dry ice may dissipate in transit, product may thaw.
- Do not remove dry ice with bare hands.
- Upon arrival, store pastries in the refrigerator or in the freezer.
- Upon arrival, store cream in the refrigerator.
- Pastries may be stored up to 1 week in the refrigerator or up to 6 months in the freezer.
To Serve
- Thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Heat for approx. 5 minutes or until crisp.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly.
- Cut the smaller end of the pastry bag.
- Slice the pastry in half and pipe or spread the cream in between the two halves.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired (not included).
- Serve and enjoy!
